YouTube increases video resolution

In a move that is sure to spark interests in those who love to stream HD content, YouTube has recently announced via their blog that they have increased the width of their video-player to 960 pixels. But what does this mean exactly?

Well, with a greater player width, users could upload videos with a higher resolution, making for higher quality content. With speculation of feature length HD movies coming to YouTube, this is certainly a step in the direction of agreeing with those rumors.
