| Kenwood has presented yet another iPod dock, but this time it is different because it has additional specs that make it worth the $270. The CR-iP500 can playback MP3 and WMA files thanks to the CD player, or alternatively you can use the USB2.0 connection. It also has an iPod dock with controls located on the Kenwood device. The other alternative to listen to audio is the FM tuner, which is able to save 30 station presets. But the most important functionality, is the ability to rip audio CDs into a USB flash drive in MP3 format, and you can even pick the sample rate that goes from the low 96kbps to the high 256kbps. Cineversum lets loose BlackWing One projector
| On the market for a high-end, sleek looking projector? Check out Cineversum's BlackWing One with it's $6,500 price tag it's got to have some cool features, right? According to Logitech, 91% of families fight over the remote control for the television, and of that 91%, 72% of people have argued over the remote, 12% have thrown it, and 7% have gotten into a legit physical fight over it. Green House enters LCD market

Netflix streaming coming to select Samsung BD players
| It seems that the Xbox 360 isn't the only peice of hardware that will be getting love from Netflix, Samsung has recently announced that their BD-P2500 and BD-P2550 Blu-ray players will soon gain the ability to stream HD content. This comes to us after word that the abovementioned players would be getting SD Netflix streaming capabilities last month. This is a step in the right direction making for a more advanced (see: lazier) digital culture, as other manufacturers are sure to follow suit and release their own HD streaming players. Samsung's BD-P2500 and BD-P2550 will be allowed a firmware update in the first week of December that will enable HD Netflix streaming. |
Samsung Blu-ray players to support Netflix in HD
| Last month we learned that Samsung will update its blu-ray player to support Netflix's "Watch Instantly"; apparently that's not all, the company has announced an HD addition of that service to be added by the first week of December through a firmware update. The Blu-ray players in question are Samsung BD-P2550 and BD-P2500; in addition to have gained access to 12,000 standard definition videos, both will join the likes of Netflix HD-Streaming capable networked players – Xbox 360, Roku to support hundred of movies and TV episodes made available by Netflix in HD. Netflix currently has 300 HD titles in stock. At presence, only LG Blu-ray player with similar capability has not been confirmed to support HD streaming, but we have reasons to believe the service will eventually find its way to LG as well.

| Sure Optoma's Pico projector is now available but purchase, but who needs all that added bulk? (/sarcasm) Word has it, Konica Minolta is developing a pocket projector no bigger than a flash drive, with dimensions said to be 1.6-inches long, 0.79-inches wide, and 0.3-inches thing. Capable of projecting a 20-inch picture from a 21-inch distance, this little wonder uses laser beams and vibrating mirrors instead of the conventional bulbs and lenses. Besides that, there's really nothing, not even a concept sketch. However, Konica Minolta says that this thing will be on the markt in the next 2-3 years. Oh joy! |
